THE COUNTRY OF GROSS INTERNAL HAPPINESS

A purely Buddhist Himalayan kingdom, unsurpassed in its scenic beauty and ancient culture. An extremely vibrant country.

Bhutan shares with Nepal the largest concentration of mountains in the world and the greatest living heritage of Buddhism. The 50-minute flight from Kathmandu airport to Paro can really be described as a flight into fantasy. See Mount Everest, Mount Kanchenjunga and other famous legendary peaks and mountains...

Bhutan is one of the few countries in the world still almost untouched by tourism, a paradise for travelers interested in Buddhist culture and philosophy, flora and fauna of the Himalayan mountain range, and short walks in the highest mountain range in the world.
