I AM A SOLO TRAVELLER, IS THIS OK?
The majority of our guests travel to us on their own to take a much-needed break away from the pace of day-to-day life. You will meet other like-minded people who are with us for a healthy break. At the retreat, brunches and five evening meals are included and the group dines and socialises together. On the remaining evenings’ guests often choose to enjoy meals together at one of the excellent restaurants a short walk away. You also have the option to stay in and self-cater. During free time, some guests like to spend time exploring the island together, other guests are happy to enjoy the beautiful beaches and downtime on their own – whatever your needs are, Azulfit offers a fun and safe environment for solo travellers of all ages.

IS THERE A POOL OR JACUZZI AT THE RETREAT?
Azulfit swimming pool
We offer a beautiful pool at the retreat, to relax in and take a dip to cool down. The pool is not a full-length lap pool but you can enjoy doing laps in the pool. The ocean is beautiful and warm enough to swim for most of the year. We have sun loungers and offer inclusive pool/ beach towels for your retreat week. We also have a 6 seat deluxe Jacuzzi at Surya retreat.

I HAVE NEVER DONE PILATES OR YOGA BEFORE, IS THIS OK?
We offer inclusive classes for all levels from beginner to advanced, so join us if you would like to try Pilates or yoga for the first time. We offer a variety of yoga classes so you can sample and work out the best style for you, and our teachers work with you to safely help you progress and challenge yourself each week.

HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU TYPICALLY HAVE FOR A WEEK?
Group size varies from fourteen to twenty guests. Our excellent instructors provide attention and progressions to all levels so you come away equipped to accomplish your goals. They will provide modifications and challenge progressions where needed.

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?
Azulfit can accommodate special dietary requirements, including gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan/ vegetarian diets. We are a bustling, love-filled retreat kitchen so cannot accommodate all allergies or preferences but we will work with you to the best of our ability. Please indicate allergies on the booking form and we can correspond with you directly about them. Please read our allergen policy for further details. It is important for us to know if your allergy is Grade I, II or III before booking so please do reach out to us beforehand so we can ensure we speak with our kitchens in case of a severe allergic reaction.

I HAVE A CONDITION OR ILLNESS/INJURY, WILL I BE ABLE TO TAKE PART IN YOUR CLASSES?
Please see information on special conditions here. In all of our classes, you are encouraged to go at your own pace and to listen to your body. We try, where possible to take note of any injuries or illnesses you have and offer you suitable modifications and adjustments. In cases of serious injury, illness, or pregnancy we ask that you consider booking a private class or private class package, where you get private tuition, at your own pace. If you have any serious doubts about attending the retreat, you can contact us and also should seek advice from your doctor.

WHAT KIND OF YOGA AND PILATES EQUIPMENT DOES AZULFIT PROVIDE?
Azulfit supplies yoga mats, yoga blankets, bolsters, blocks and bricks, magic circles and yoga straps, as well as any additional equipment needed for the specific session.

We also have Reformer / Tower Units for Pilates privates.

CAN I BOOK WITH AZULFIT ANYTIME?
Our retreats start each Saturday afternoon, and run for 7 nights, with checkout the following Saturday. Checkout is at 11:00 am but we are happy for you to stay on-site through the day if you have an evening flight. We try, where possible, to accommodate arrival dates early in our set weeks, as flights to the island can be difficult to find at certain times of the year. Long weekends and long breaks can be accommodated where possible with the arrival as close to our Saturday start as possible. Please contact us with your requirements. We can recommend alternate accommodations nearby to the retreat should you want to arrive early, or depart later than our set dates.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES?
Check-in and check-out times vary to accommodate people’s arrival times. Check-in is generally from 2pm through to 7pm. We can prepare rooms for an early check-in of 12 noon where possible. Guests are welcome to stay in their accommodation until 11am, and we ask that departing guests place their belongings in a secure area so that the rooms may be prepared for new arrivals.

ARE THERE LAUNDRY SERVICES AT THE SURYA RETREAT?
Laundry service
Please contact Carola (our lovely cleaner) or a staff member if you need to have some washing done. Clothing delivered on Monday morning will be returned washed and folded on Wednesday and if delivered on Wednesday it will be returned on Friday. The price for this service is 5 – 10 € depending on the number of items.

IS THERE INTERNET ACCESS?
We try to create a mellow environment away from the stresses of a busy life – however, we do appreciate that some guests would like to access the internet during their stay with us. Wifi is available on site in all common areas, free of charge.

How to get there Review Like

How do I get from the Santorini airport to Oia?

  • Rental Car – If you’re planning to rent a car in Santorini it’s best to pick up your car at the Santorini airport on arrival and then save yourself the cost of transportation to your hotel. But, if you’re arriving at night I wouldn’t recommend dealing with finding your hotel (and parking) in the dark. Just taxi to your hotel then get your rental car the next day.
  • Private Transfer – The easiest and quickest way to get into Fira and to the rest of the island is by pre-booked private transfer. Welcome Pickups is a convenient and reliable service, with rates that are similar to a taxi. If you have pre-booked with Welcome Pickups, there’s no need to worry about having cash to pay fare, and your driver will be waiting for you at the airport, holding a sign with your name on it.
  • Taxi – Taxi is also an easy way to get from the airport to Santorini’s main towns, but there is often a long queue. There will always be taxis available at the airport though it can involve a wait (especially if 2 flights arrive at the same time). It costs about 20 euros to Fira and Kamari, and 30 to 35 euros to go to the rest of the island. Taxi and transfer information. Taxi phone number: 22860-22555.
  • Bus – In high season (roughly June to September) buses run every hour between Fira and the airport. Most of these buses are running the Fira to Monolithos route and make a stop at the airport – although there might be a few additional buses each day that do only the Fira to airport run. There are fewer buses on the weekend and also fewer buses during the low season. It takes about 15 minutes to get from the airport to Fira by bus and costs about 2 euros. Plan to have small change available so that you don’t need to ask for change from a 50 euro note. If you want to go anywhere else other than Fira (or Monolithos) you’ll need to change buses in Fira (which is easy enough, but time consuming).
