Airo Yoga is a fresh and playful spin on aerial yoga combining elements of Vinyasa yoga, pilates and acro-play. The 50-hour teacher training is a 7-day intensive aerial yoga training that qualifies students to efficiently and safely teach Airo Yoga.
The course is suited for those who wish to teach Airo yoga professionally or for those who wish to elevate their personal yoga practice.
The course is accredited by Yoga Alliance (YACEP) and the hours count towards continued education.
The Airo Yoga training is a 7-day intensive training. It is both mentally and physically challenging but very thorough and rewarding. The course is created in a way that students feel confident in their Airo practice and feel comfortable to teach classes right away.
The training will begin every morning at 6:30 am and finish at 4:30 pm. There will be a break for breakfast and lunch. Stundents can enjoy their free time in the evening by spending time at the beach, getting a massage at the resort or hanging out at the coffee shop.
The training is broken down into four main subjects:
- Lead practice
- Asana Lab
- Group practicals
There will be a lead practice every morning, followed by an open public class. Students will observe and get a first-hand experience on how to conduct an Airo Yoga class and how to assist other students.
The afternoons will start with theory sessions where students will learn about the philosophy and history behind yoga and Airo yoga, anatomy, sequencing and teaching methodology.
Asana Labs will focus on breaking down fundamental Airo Yoga postures and how to correctly assist students in these poses.
There is a practical session every afternoon where students test their new teaching skills on one another.
There will be a written exam and a short practice on the final day. Upon successful completion of the course and both exams, students will be awarded their Airo Yoga certification.
