Posted onThe yoga classes are outstanding. We initially stayed at this ashram for a 3 day yoga retreat but ended up staying here for 7 days. The food was amazing and the rooms are basic but have everything you need (warm water, wifi). But most important: the yoga classes are outstanding. Even as beginners we really enjoyed the classes and got a lot out of them. Hope to come back to this place soon.
Posted onAn amazing experienceI just finished my 7 days retreat. It was an amazing experience with great teachers and a warm atmosphere. A beautiful place!
Posted onI surely recommend itVery warm and lovely people & simple and purity ashram
I write my experience about yoga retreat in Rishikesh, India: Because I'm deaf, I was looking for Yoga retreats which are open to me. I have emailed to different yoga school, like World Peace Yoga school and AYM. They are providing minimum 7 days of retreats. I didn't know if it suits me well and it would be a lot of communication challenging. Yoganandham yoga school provides 3 days of retreats. I emailed them to ask if I'm welcome there. They said I'm most of welcome there and they would write down everything for me. Their program is very simple in compare with other retreats, which have a trek, massage and rafting included. I didn't need it and would like to pay for yogas and meditation classes only. So I have chose for Yoganandham school. When I arrived early morning, they have let me in the room for sleep. Then we discussed about the programs and how it's going to suit me. Manish was very open to me and wanted me to understand his class yoga philosophy. I have two yogas classes in one day. Hatha yoga in the morning and asthanga in the evening. After evening yoga class I got meditation class from Sailesh, my guru. He's very friendly and had patience with me. He also took me for his private class to repeat his meditation lesson and it helps me to understand. I could meditate in my daily life now. Yoga classes were good. I have had some of very good teachers and some new teachers. Teachers have shown me how to do the right postures so I will not have pain in my hands and legs. The classes were comfortable. The meals are good. I informed them I'm vegan, they made porridge without milk for me and serves fruits at breakfast. Apart from this I asked for excursion to Kunjapuri and guide to Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat. The people worked there are friendly and patiently. It had been good days for me. I surely recommend you all to stay at Yoganandham school ashram to experience the purity and simple life. You can book excursion or massage apart of this yoga program if you like to.
