    • ABHYANGA MASSAGE

    Abhyanga massage is a full body, soft oil massage using the incorporation of steam. The skin is our largest organ and in order to function properly needs to be efficient in releasing toxins and absorbing nourishment from the tissues of the body. The Abhyanga Ayurvedic oil massage will support increased circulation, especially to nerve endings, lubrication of the joints and toning of the muscles. When performed daily can contribute towards restful sleep, increased stamina, a sharper mind and improved elimination of toxins from the body. Based on the western concepts of anatomy and physiology, as opposed to energy work on meridians or sen lines that are the focus in Asian massage systems.     • THAI YOGA MASSAGE

    "Thai massage" or "Thai yoga massage" is an ancient healing system combining acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures. Traditional Thai massage uses no oils or lotions and you will remain clothed. There is constant body contact, but rather than muscle massage, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked. The massage generally follows designated energy lines in the body, called Nadi’s. The gentle stimulation of these lines relaxes the body, unleashing the life force within you.

The manipulation of the muscles continues the process, whilst at the same time releasing tense knotted muscles by dispersing the buildup of lactic acid which often occurs after exercise.     • DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

    Deep tissue massage is aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as it works to release chronic muscle tension or "knots" as well on trigger points.

    The massage shouldn't hurt, but it's likely to be a bit more uncomfortable than a classic Swedish massage. You should always feel free to speak up if the pressure is too much for you. If the pressure is more than you can comfortably take, you might unconsciously tense up, guarding your body from pain. This makes it harder for the therapist to achieve results.

    Shiatsu is a Japanese form of healing based on Chinese philosophy and medicine principles. The only major symptom is stagnation of chi which is the energy that assembles everything. The purpose of Zen – Shiatsu will be to find the block and move the chi.

    Shiatsu massage therapy relies on the use of fingers, thumbs and palm, forearm and knees to apply pressure to various areas of the body’s surface, helping to heal common ailments and conditions, correcting imbalances in the body. Pressure applied to points on the body promotes energy flow and corrects dis-harmonies throughout. In addition to being a deeply relaxing experience. This massage is given fully clothed.

    • HOT CUPS

    Cupping is a therapy used in traditional Chinese medicine to remove stagnation and stimulate the flow of Chi. An ancient and traditional form of treatment using glass cups where by an internal vacuum is being created through heat. The glass, after being placed on the body draws impurities to the surface removing toxins & contributing to healing. This treatment is best added onto a massage treatment. Please note this treatment will leave marks to the skin that will be visible

    A treatment coming from the Chinese medicine system. This treatment involves small needles that are inserted into different points of the body. Acupuncture works with the meridians, channels rooted in the body, within our meridians flows the chi-energy of life.       This is a truly beautiful and lovely place to spend your time in Goa. I was on a yoga retreat while I was staying at Devarya Wellness and the spirit and the thoughts behind the place matched the yoga practice I was attending and living after while I was staying there. For each meal I had great vegetarian food - and if you are a vegan it’s not a problem at all to live by it there - the people that worked at Devarya seemed very happy, they did not use plastic bottles to protect the environment and the service was really good. Devarya is a beautiful place with exotic plants and flowers and at nighttime there is these light chains that makes the place magical. I will definitely recommend to stay at Devarya Wellsness specially if you are sourcing to find peace and grounding and live in a more sustainable way

      Arrived for my Yoga retreat and first impressions were good. Beautiful greenery all around the centre with 2 decent pools with amazing day bed to max chill! Our room was colourful and spacious, no wifi in rooms as said on website and it’s a great thing to disconnect and fully enjoy the time spent here. There is Lemon and ginger water and masala chai available all day and there was a lot of great evening activities to choose from and yoga classes morning and afternoon with experienced teachers in awesome rooftop shalas!! So cool. The whole place lights up at night and it’s so beautiful

      The staff is always friendly and smiley!
      And the beach is less then a minute walk. there chai cafe restaurant over looking the beach upstairs and downstairs is unreal, buffet breakfast and dinner included in our stay everyday, ALL VEGETARIAN ! lots to choose from and changing everyday. Gluten and dairy free options and it’s all so fresh and yummy!
